At AireLibre we believe that free time becomes more valuable when shared outdoors, with calm and respect for the environment. We are a team of people who live and promote an active, family-oriented, and sustainable lifestyle. We make no empty promises or use clichés: every piece of content, every route, and every recommendation comes from the real experience of going to the mountains, organizing a plastic-free picnic, or stretching at dawn. We work for families, couples, and people looking to disconnect from routine without losing touch with what matters.
We are defined by three pillars that guide every decision, from the tone of an article to the choice of a collaborator:
Our main audience is families with young children or teenagers who want to leave home without stress, people looking for alternatives to screen-based leisure, and adults who want to gradually reconnect with nature. We are also read by free-time monitors, educators, and groups of friends organizing weekend getaways. We do not create content for mountain experts or those seeking extreme challenges; our focus is on what is accessible, safe, and enjoyable.
We are not a travel agency or an adventure club. We are a platform for inspiration and practical resources so that anyone can plan their outdoor free time with confidence. Our tone is informative but warm, with a touch of humor when appropriate. We avoid superlatives and promises of radical transformation. We prefer to say "this route has two steep slopes but views that make up for it" rather than selling a perfect experience. Transparency is our best calling card.
We write as if we were having a coffee after a walk: with closeness, concrete details, and without rushing. We use short and long sentences, avoid marketing jargon, and do not repeat rhythmic structures. Every article, post, or project description has a clear purpose: to help someone take the first step, answer a question, or simply remind them how beautiful it is to be outdoors. We do not use words like "innovative," "seamless," or "unlock your potential"; we prefer "comfortable," "simple," and "that works."
Why families trust us
Every route we publish has been tested by monitors specialized in childhood. We evaluate safety, accessibility, and points of natural interest before recommending it.
Our guides include offline maps, checklists, and printable activities so you don't rely on mobile coverage during the excursion.
More than 200 families in Galicia share their real experiences and update the data for each route. This way we avoid surprises and keep the information up to date.
All our proposals follow the leave no trace principle: we indicate drinking water points, dry toilets, and waste collection areas so you can enjoy without harming the environment.
Each month we organize group outings with monitors trained in first aid and environmental education. Participants receive accident insurance included.
